The Council of the 13 Grandmothers: set in motion through powerful visions
The first cycle of their work began with the founding of the International Council of the 13 Indigenous Grandmothers in 2004. Brought together through powerful visions and prophecies, the original intention was to strengthen the understanding of and solidarity with their respective traditions. To this end they agreed to visit each other’s homeland and there to ignite the Holy Fire, burning for peace in the world. These intimate visits to strengthen the relationships between the Grandmothers are now complete and in the coming stage of their work the Grandmothers are going public and for the first time – after some of them had individually accepted invitations to visit different parts of the world – all 13 together will be visiting other countries.

Together with the Grandmothers, we have decided on a procedure for their first big joint event in Europe that allows all the participants in the 3-day congress to spend as much common time in their powerful and intense presence as possible, instead of dividing this precious time full of wisdom and kindheartedness into smaller breakout sessions with 1-3 of the Grandmothers. It is the unity and common vision, independent of their different traditions that is their real merit, a merit which, among other things, has been lost in today’s world. The loving respect, their deep connection with each other makes the International Council of the 13 Indigenous Grandmothers a mighty and deeply touching voice of wisdom for all those on the Earth who are open to it.
From vision to tangible change: the time is NOW!
For the 3 days of the event we have chosen some of the issues relevant to the present time and those particularly close to all 13 Grandmothers’ hearts. It is possible to choose only one or two days, although it would be most beneficial to attend on all 3 days. Let everyone experience the heartfelt inspiration of these wonderful women full of deep integrity and let their mission of powerful, individual health of body, mind and spirit, of consciousness-raising and the healing of this Earth become our own mission. Take an active part in this change! NOW is the time for healing, wisdom and transformation!
A piece of advice from the Grandmothers:
Please be aware that whereever the International Council meets we are treading on holy ground. The Grandmothers follow powers which are beyond time and space. because of these influences the agenda can change. We invite you to go with the flow and accept that during the ceremonies changes in the timetable may occur.
This is a time of daily prayer. We are desirous that the footprints on this holy path should be gentle, leaving only a trace of love and benevolence. Together we will create peace, and support the Grandmothers in their call for unity.
We pray that this time will be a time of recognition for the Council of the Grandmothers and a time of fruition, spiritual enrichment and innovation for all of us. Please remember to tune yourself to these days of ceremony, with reverence and an openness for the unknown.
Some advice from the organisers
The Grandmothers have wonderfully expressed what is dearest to their hearts: together, the Grandmothers and the participants in the Congess, shall create a powerful holy atmosphere and space in which many things are possible for everyone. The quality, and particularly the dimension of their work, is deeply connected to their trust in the contact with spiritual powers. This alliance, their inner guiding light, is the root of their true strength. Here lies the potential for sustainable change which is aeons away from any clever thoughts or well-meant advice.
What does this mean exactly?
We invisage the foundation of the Congress to be wisdom, intiution and spontaneous ideas together with a meaningful structure and around this the separate days will form the framework. The quotes from the Grandmothers to the six topics covered during those 3 days serve as an inspiration, as an introduction to the various topics. They are condensed versions of the intense experiences which these woman have gathered over decades.
Within the structure there will be space for prayers and individual rituals – both in the assembly hall and in the spacious open-air areas – for example ceremonies with the elements fire and water which have great significance in the traditons of some of the Grandmothers. There will be individual sessions with valuable insights which will become embedded in the hearts of those taking part and prepare the path for true transformation.
Supported by their interpreters, the Grandmothers will sit on the stage in a large semi-circle and in some stages answer questions from the participants. With open hearts they will share their precious wisdom and reveal practical methods for living a healthy, creative and deeply fulfilled life as an individual and how we as a unity can transform our world into a place worth living in.
The keys are: sharing, connecting opening up and inviting change and inner growth. The time for change is NOW! This also means that during the event hearts are connected and creative ideas are shared in the HERE and NOW. Through the Grandmothers’ guidance such situations will arise and the participants can also contribute to the changes and allow these to find a place in their hearts.
The Grandmothers have no intellectual concepts or wordly opinions written in stone. They represent wise, existential insights which they share with integrity and human warmth, with “traces of love and benevolence”.
